First Global Palindrome Day (a palindrome date when written in both DD/MM/YYYY and MM/DD/YYYY formats) of the Common Era:
01/01/1010, 1,010 years ago.
Second Global Palindrome Day of the Common Era:
11/11/1111. 909 years ago, 101 years from the first.
Third Global Palindrome Day of the Common Era:
!!!TODAY!!!
02/02/2020
The next Global Palindrome Days:
Fourth: 12/12/2121, in 101 years.
Then:
Fifth: 03/03/3030, in 1,010 years.
A small number of human beings just born will in all probability make that fourth one.
But, assuming we keep using a 12 month calendar in future, they shall be the only humans to experience two Global Palindrome Days in their lifetime. Since there is no 13th month, there is no 13/13/3131 date to repeat the 101-year interval. The next one is in 04/04/4040. And it is doubtful--though hypothetically possible--that a human being saw both 01/01/1010 and 11/11/1111.
Any event, the Double Global Palindrome Day Club is (or will be) an exclusive club indeed.
Rick, thank goodness you are tracking such things--someone must be responsible. It is unclear to me how one celebrates this day however—crossing all the dates off the calendar backwards? Dancing with yourself in a mirror? One does wonder, one does.
